The 'Amen' line

What does this signify when Pinhead says it right before he dies?

"The good thing about being me is that there's so many of me."

reply

Maybe it is a "Well, I'm screwed" line

reply

He was admitting defeat.....it was the answer to Dr. Merchant's, "welcome to oblivion"......also it's common to say that when you agree with something someone says. IE..."amen to that"

reply

Amen is often considered to mean "Verily" or "Let it be done" so when he says amen he is admitting he will be destroyed. so when Dr Merchant says "Welcome to Oblivion" Pinhead is pretty much saying "so be it."

reply

Of course, Amen is always said at the end of prayers, hymns etc. And when is the line said?

It was in reference to a cut scene where Pinhead had said "Welcome to Oblivion" to john merchant. The scene where merchant saids it back to pinhead was supposed to be in reponse to the earlier scene. But pinhead saying amen was more then that, perhaps in reference to a scene where he tells merchant that "I'm exquistely empty" when they were talking about faith and believing in things. I took pinhead saying amen to mean he truly is empty, devoid of any emotion, loyalty or desire, at least as far as humans can comprehend it. But thats my my opinion.

No no no, I know when it's said! I was being a smart-arse saying that the Amen line is said at the end of the film when it is said at the end of prayers.
