A continuity mistake?

At the end off Hellraiser 3, Kirsty throws the lament configuration into some wet cement that was in the ground on a building site, which when hardened would become a foundation for a building, yet in this hellraiser, Angelique punches into a pillar in the building built on that site, and gets the box straight out of it.

That couldn't have happened, the box ought to have been unreachable tens of feet below in the ground in the cement foundations beneath her feet?

My mistake, I was going by my memory lol, sorry!

Nonetheless, the box was thrown into the foundations, not a pillar, she would have had to have been on scaffolding ont he 1st floor or whatever to be able to throw the box into the shaft where they'd pour the cement in. I doubt the box would work it's way through the steel skeleton for the pillar, too!

Couldn't the box be happy with having a huge box-shaped holocaust waiting to wake itself built above it?

Sequels sometimes change little things for their benefit. IE; Ever remember an exact date for Judgement Day [August 29th 1997] given in the first Terminator movie. Nope, but Sarah and John Connor knew about it in teh 2nd before coming into contact with the 2nd Arnie. It's just a bugging continuity thing in a sequel, like u said.

I thought it was a basement of the building, not the ground floor. If it was then it would make sense that it would be accesible.

Did the box influence the design of the building?

I always thought that it was Merchant's blood, the whole thing about "it's in your blood", that he almost predestined to make the building in the way it became - blueprints etc. The box just happened to be thrown into cement on the site the building was being created.

Pinhead- THE BOX DID THIS?
Angie - A MAN DID THIS, BUT THE BOX CALLED TO HIM

reply

The entire movie is a continuity mistake.

Pinhead violates all the rules of hell that were set in the previous films, begging the question as to whether those in charge had even watched the previous films or read the book.

This movie deserves a place beside Crow II and Highlander II for sloppy, terrible storytelling.

Agreed!

Anything beats Highlander

I say Highlander... I really mean most everything with Christopher Lambert in it. Or Bruce Payne.

But yeah. Highlander and its sequels. mostly. Just what is with the accents?

Though oddly I can't not watch them if they're on TV

Must be some kind of hell :B
