this was my interpretation of it but others may disagree but i took it to be that angelique was the same as the people like the scruffy guy in the first hellraiser - theyre not human but not cenobites, and judging from the end of hellraiser when that guy turned into a demon thing - i saw it like this because i really couldnt fit it in with the other hellraisers. shes the daughter of leviathan? so how come theyve never mentioned her before? the only way i could see it is that there are hundreds of creatures in the guise of humans on earth that are the "children of leviathan" and they all watch over and protect the configurations. because at the end of the day thats what she was doing in H4

did anyone else see it this way?

Nope. They're Puzzle Guardians, created with the single task of protecting nad moving boxs. Angelique was a Princess, a demon of Hell from way back. Born of Leviathan, like other Hell demons such as the Engineer (scorpian wall walker in the firts film). In the original cut of Bloodline she wasn't put in human skin but simply shape shifted.

hmm, interesting
so shes in the same "category" as the engineer in the first film. could also the "puzzle" guardians be? because theyre clearly not human, that thing turns into a dragon thing at the end of the first one, and they seem to do the same things angelique does in bloodline (albeit she does them in far more...entertaining ways)
is that just your opinion or is that officially the case? (im not challenging you im just genuinely curious and you seem to have some good ideas)

I believe that She was some kind of demon or guardian like you mentioned. But when she and Pinhead are sucked into the Box in the "present time" segment of the film, she is then transformed into a cenobite and now looks and behaves like Pinhead and all the other cenobites (as shown in the "future" segment).
