okay so this was one of my favorite childhood movies...but looking back if you were harriet and that bitch started to gather everyone around and read your notebook that you know had all your personal stuff in there about all your friends wouldnt you have ran over to hear ...punched her in the face and grabbed your notebook got you friends and left!

but on the other hand she totally deserved what she got what a bitch harriet is for writing *beep* on her friends and making fun of them for being weird and poor!

"harriet sit over there until we figure out what to do with you" hahahaaha amazing

As if you've never had a bad thought about your friends? Harriet was told by Golly to write down all her thoughts, the good and the bad if I remember correctly.

She was just so shocked she couldn't move. And I don't think Harriet was a bitch. Everyone gets annoyed by their friends now and then and she was just venting in her journal. After all she never planned for anyone else to see it. And I don't think she ever made fun of Sport for being poor, she was upset that his father didn't have a "real job" that would allow Sport to have an easier life.

Well regardless it was none of anyones business to be reading what she had I mean I guess in a way they had a right to know what she thought of them. But if she and janie and Sport didn't like certain ppl in their class....why did they hang out with them. Maybe she should have put something else on the front of her notebook instead of Private she should have put Math or something to cover it up make it look obvious and second off should've been wearing a booksack.

What right did they have to know what she thought about anything? Your thoughts are no one's but your own and no one has the right to them but you whether it's written down or not.
