so is the book any good? i've had it forever, but never read it.

What book are you talking about? anyways this film ROCKS it's so good and realistic in many levels. I like films where consecuences stay and you have to go through the phases of making it right. Such as in this film at one point things just feel horrible for her her friends dislike her her nanny is leaving her she is a mess and feels horrible. She doesnt know if her writing is a bad th ing if writting truthful things are always good, and so it's a confusing thing true middle school type of thing and well over all i give it a full 10 stars to this film it was AMAZING top of my fave movies up to date.

this movie is based on the book with the same name.

I have the book, and to me, it's VERY different, but it's still really good, and you still get that element of Harriet.
Ole Golly is portrayed as this very rigid person, and in the book you meet her mother, and it's interesting to say the least.

I won't give away any more. Heh.
