Remake? WTF?

Can anyone confirm this? I don't even see why a remake is necessary.

I accidentally walked on set today. They were filming on the streets of Hamilton, Ontario. Had it made up to look like NYC. I didn't stick around much, but I saw two scenes being filmed:

Harriet (I assume) walking down the street in a British guard costume (you know, the red ones with the big black furry hats). I might show up in the background of this shot in a grey hoody holding a newspaper and some pizza.

A bunch of paparrazi at the steps of an apartment while two men knock on the door. The door opens, a woman in a purple gown looks on schocked while the two men say something and walk into the apartment building.

Anyway, I don't know anything about 'Harriet the spy', but I thought there might be some fans on this board who would be interested.

Makes me wonder why Nickelodeon's not retaliating by showing THEIR movie version alongside it.

Actually I think the Disney "Harriet" is a sequel.
In this one, Harriet and friends (and Marion) are in high school, whereas in the original they were in sixth grade.

I agree, though, I don't think this one is needed.
It doesn't look half as good as the original.

I watched the remake and it was crap, I prefer this version by far.
