So Orange...
I watched this for the first time in over a decade tonight (I've been watching a lot of my childhood movies with my daughter as a bedtime routine) & I realized they overly emphasized the fact that this was a Nickelodeon movie. The children - especially Harriet - wear a ridiculous amount of orange and there's numerous orange things in the background from balloons to furniture to bulliten boards. It was half nostalgic for the good-old 90s Nick that was synonymous with orange, half cheesy and gaudy. But that much orange had to be done on purpose. I mean, I know Harriet was an eccentric child and the 90s were full of weird fashions but that bulky orange sweater and baggy orange pants weren't a random choice.
