Harriet and Golly
Once Golly left, again, do you think Harriet ever saw her again? That never made any sense to me as a kid, bring her back just to have her walk out of Harriet's life all over again.

Yeah but I mean sometime BEFORE Harriet is all grown up, that's a long time to go from being 11, and maybe 10 or 15 years pass before seeing her again.
sharei don't think they saw each other again

Golly stopped being Harriet's nanny partway through the movie. I think Harriet's parents decided to call Golly to talk to Harriet about what had happened with her notebook and her friends. Harriet needed something to cheer her up. After Golly had given Harriet some advice, she told Harriet that she never goes back; only forward. I presume Harriet would have seen Golly occasionally, but Golly would not have been involved as much as she once was because she knew Harriet was becoming more independent in herself. Golly told Harriet that she would be first in line at the bookstore when Harriet sold her debut novel, getting her autographed copy :) She must have seen Golly again. Golly was never one to go back on her word really.
I love the Harriet and Golly relationship in this movie :) I was so sad when Golly left, but that shaped the rest of the movie. In a way, Golly leaving was good because it made Harriet stronger and more independent. Golly would never have been fully out of the picture, even though she left the Welsch household. She would have always been there for Harriet if she needed her. I don't doubt that at all :) She loved that girl!
