Was Harriet supposed to be a vegetarian?
In the movie, she would be seeing making her favourite tomato sandwiches to school. And, her mother would offer her roast beef and pastrami while Harriet turns those offers down and tells her mother that she's always been eating the tomato sandwiches for years. I've been getting the impression that since that we hardly ever see Harriet eating anything else besides the tomato sandwiches (and, the soup!), I was sure Harriet could've been a vegetarian.
