I saw this movie years ago. Following madeleine's case it made me think of this particular case again. How the girl went missing from her house and the parents were ones suspected in doing the crime. The case of Madeleine is quite similar to this one it seems and starting to turn into a case like this one with the parents being accused. Only she has yet to be found. But the portugal police are now trying to get the parents to confess to accidently killing her without evidence to that or a body.

I don't know if the MCanns did anything to their daughter, but the fact they left a not yet 4 year old and their two year old twins alone in a hotel room and went out to dinner was horrendous! I have children that age and wouldn't even consider leaving them alone. Kids wake up all the time in the middle of the night. It doesn't matter that they checked on them a few times. What if the kids woke up at one of the times their parents did not check on them?

It's the Mcann's fault that Madeline is missing, whether they hurt her or not.

I agree with dawnm5. When I first heard it I was like...what? They left their small children under the age of 4, alone, in a hotel room, in a foreign country? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?
But I also thought of them while watching this movie.

There's been a few cases like this where the child was taken from her house at night but Jaclyn's was the only other one where the parents were accused, that I know of.
