After the funeral ceremony for Jaclyn, the audacity of the authorities. They actually opened up her casket and took out the "Good-Bye" letter that her mother wrote as if it contained some sort of clue. How low-down is that???
Yep, I watched the dvd and it was on there. I audibly gasped when I saw that. The whole lot of them were completley incompetant. How arrogant to think it's actually more important to get a conviction than it is to get the right one? If this poor family hadn't fought so hard, so many lives would've been ruined. I hope some police were sacked for the handling of it.
The Bride: You and I have unfinished business. Bill: Baby, you ain't kidding.
I also thought that was really low. It seems a bunch of complete incompentant people where in charge of this case. Had they done their job properly they might of had more evidance to find the real killer.
I don't think it was the parents at all. But if it had been, putting a note in the casket that would convict them would be the dumbest thing ever.
Furthermore I just have to state that I can't believe how ignorant people in this case were. I mean seriously - David has a bright red rose tattoo and once Jacqoline drew a picture of a cow with a purple tongue makes them part of a cult that partakes in rituals that make them abuse their kids?! Really grasping at straws with that one. I mean that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
This is a very sad situation of poor legal professionals. Its so bad, its almost unbelievable that this exists. It is important to find the killer and make sure they pay for their crimes, but that doesn't mean just find anyone and make stuff up along the way.
I think Ive heard of a deathbed confession or two...(Adam Walsh?)
But I agree...the McMartins were prosecuted for 5 years after LA county knew that the accusations were false...and the testimonies were all coherced.
The Ramseys were kept under the umbrella of suspicion for ten years after the boulder authorities found the stun gun used on her and the boots that made the footprints in a known burgular's (Micheal Helgoth's) apartment after his suicide a month after he molested and murdered JonBenet...the DNA evidence was messed with.
In all three of these investigations money was spent and the authorities were only interested in the parties that they invested heavier into.
