shareI totally agree. Seth Gecko is definitely the COOLEST character in all of Tarantino's films!!! Clooney played him well. He actually ACTED!! This film is not my favorite Tarantino film, but Seth Gecko's character is freakin' awesome!!!! So many cool lines.
One of my fave lines of his is when he asks for a drink from Danny Trejo at the TT bar in Mexico and is denied and the tough guy says to him he's going to count to three and Seth says so will I. The bad guy (vampire) says "1" and Seth quickly goes "2".
Seth COULD make a return in a future QT film. QT doesn't do sequels, but characters are connected. (Mr. Blonde being Vince Vega's brother, that sheriff at start of FDTD in Grindhouse, etc.) Dare to dream. But I don't know if Clooney could do as good NOW as he did back then. Clooney is the same in all his films since this film. He was boring in A Perfect Storm. LOL (And I love that movie (mainly for all the co-stars, including the villain - the PERFECT STORM and that killer wave!!)

Seth Gecko was a true badass and at times funny

Glad you guys think a murdering cop killer is so cool. Yes he redeems himself a tad but let's not forget that he was responsible for the deaths of at least 3 innocent people we see on screen: Earl McGraw, Pete Bottoms, and Gloria Hill. Sure he didn't directly kill McGraw and Hill but he didn't keep his psychotic brother in check who needlessly killed McGraw then he left Richie alone with Gloria prompting Richie to try to rape her then murdering her. This doesn't count the cops he killed escaping from custody. Not to mention he kidnaps the Fuller family taking them to Mexico and the Titty Twister eventually leading to the deaths of Jacob and Scott. So, in short, Seth was far from cool.

Seth Gecko was an Anti Hero,and anti Heros a more Interesting Characters then clean Heros like Superman,Batman etc,and not Forget this was only a movie.
Schwarzenegger and Stallone are the most popular Action heros,this two Killed a lot of people in movies and stil this two are so popular.
Make me a list of innocent people killed by characters played by both Arnold and Stallone. I'll wait.

Rambo was partially responsible for the death of one cop and wounded several others that were innocent men doing their jobs.
He also killed hundreds of soldiers who were just following orders in the sequels.
Rambo was first arrested for simply walking through town looking for a place to eat. While in lock up, he was abused and he freaked when they wanted to shave him with a straight razor. He ran. The cop he hit with a rock was trying to kill him. As for killing soldiers, did I miss something? Part 2, all he killed were Vietnamese and Russian soldiers. Part 3, Russian soldiers(all while helping the Taliban, LOL). In Rambo, he went after Burmese military who were terrorizing villages. If you want to call all of those innocent then you and I have different definitions of innocent.
As for Arnold, with the exception of the first Terminator, his characters never killed innocents.
Arnold almost gave me a brain aneurism when I watched him in Junior.

It would be terrific to see him play that kind of badass again, but it looks like he just wants to play variations of Danny Ocean.
Bloodypredator, I take it if your convenience store was taken over by two on the run fugitives holding two bystanders hostage as well as blowing your friend's brains out you would take the gecko bros out for a steak dinner with all the fixings? So pete tried playing the hero and it backfired with fatal consequences being played up for laughs...he was trying to protect himself . There was certainly nothing wrong with what he did or attempted to do...

1. If you're going to dish out a chaperoning comment please don't take "I already tried that" as anything less than honest and diplomatic and not a personal attack on your character.

You can hire a moving truck and play Dire Straits for all I care...if you really think I was completely wrong for being a tad defensive for being randomly called out over something that is really your cross to bare why am I being bronskied by it. Eh, I disagree. I mean he's 'cool' in the sense that he's badass, but I would have made the character a little different. I found it hard to sympathize with him because he's a complete a**hole. Even though Richie is the one who's more out of control, Seth was still willing to kill and kidnap innocent people, including children, at gunpoint. I wasn't sure whether to root for the vampires or not.
shareGeorge Clooney was a beast in this. He made the movie. Cannot explain how much I enjoyed seeing him playing an utterly cool badass bad guy. I love me some Seth Gecko.
