so i saw "the squid and the whale" just days after rewatching "fly away home". in TSATW anna paquin plays jeff daniels love interest. haha. it was slightly disturbing. they're both amazing actors though.

shareI saw TSATW about a year ago. (I just watched FAH for the first time tonight)
Anyway, I LOVED both movies. It's probably good that I saw Squid first, though. I may have had some hang ups about Anna being a college student involved w/her professor had I already witnessed said professor be he dad.
Either way, Jeff Daniels is always awesome!
I bought this a few months ago at Big Lots! for $3 but I haven't seen it yet. I have way too many DVDs. I figured that $3 was close to the price of a rental so I wasn't risking too much considering that TSATW got some awards.
