Broadway Musical Cast

It was recently announced that producers of the First Wives Club Broadway musical have decided to cast big stars on the show. Some of the names mentioned were Bernadette Peters, Stockard Channing, Megan Mullally, Queen Latifah, and Olivia Newton-John. Neither Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, or Goldie Hawn were mentioned.

I think a perfect cast (knowing they won't use the 3 stars from the movie) for this show would be:
Elise-Bernadette Peters
Brenda-Debra Monk
Annie-Bebe Neuwirth
Gunilla Garson Goldberg-Chita Rivera or Angela Lansbury
Shelly-It'll be great if Sarah Jessica Parker reprised her role, Christina Applegate is perfect for this part now that she is a Broadway star.

Well,those are some of my suggestions. I guess we'll find out sometime soon.

QUEEN LATIFAH?? As who?? Sorry, but I don't like her!!

Megan Mullally would be ace. I can see her as Elise if she went blonde.

I don't see why they would cast Queen Latifah, she was great in Chicago but there's no role that fits her in this musical. I think Megan Mullally would be funnier as Annie because it is a role we're not used to seeing her playing, so I'm sure she'd do her best with it. I don't think she'll be in the musical because of her new talk show though.

Oh, I almost bought the book today but there was some confusion about gift vouchers and change so I decided to go later on when I had £20 worth of books. I want it though. It looked good!

I like most of your Broadway cast with the exception of Brenda...I would cast either Christine Ebersole or Faith Prince as Brenda.
