I just have this doubt about the scene when Morty and Brenda meet at the store, and Shelly says: "Brenda, Why don't yoy try this..." If I am not mistaken, what she actually says is "... in your thighs". However, in the sub-titles and on memorable quotes on this website, it is quoted as "... in your size". What do you think?

reply

I always thought it was "your size" but Sarah Jessica Parker just didn't say it clearly, hmmm, thinking about it though, you could be right!

I Love it when Goldie pours herself a drink, and says something about ''Those infants'' lol always makes me laugh, also when she's arguing with Bette and calls her Morty's Girl !!!

Brenda:(After picking up trashcan*Look!All bottles.
Elise:I had guests!
Brenda:Who,Guns and Roses?

lol. That part always cracks me up.Just the way she says it.And when Brenda says "Shelly.Well look at you. My,my,the bulimia certainly has paid off.".lol.I love this movie!!

Oh,and who could forget when Elise is in the bar:

Elise:Shirley Winters is Monique's mother...Sean Connery is Monique's Mother...No wait,Sean Connery is Monique's boyfriend.He's a hundred years old but he's still a stud."

"Why don't you try this in your thighs" doesn't make any sense at all, it's definatly size.

I think they made her have a bit of a lisp...It was definetely 'In your size', but it sounded like 'thsize'. Made her sound a bit more childish. Which is what she was.

"Hey, d'you have a handkerchief?
What's wrong with your sleeve?"

reply

SJP actually DOES have a bit of a lisp.

Yeah she definitely says "In your size", she's even holding her hands wide apart to show how big Bette Midler's size is! Plus saying thighs wouldn't make any sense at all. The only way you could possibly look at it is if Shelley was implying that Brenda's thighs were so huge that a full-sized dress for Shelley would only fit Brenda's thighs, but that's a bit weird. At any rate, then she would have put the emphasis on the word 'thighs' and not on 'your'.

Damn I've watched this movie way too many times! Not that there's any such thing.
