Remake?
Even this is an original film based on Olivia Goldsmith's novel, I cannot help but think that this could be a loose remake of the 1939 George Cukor flick, The Women, based on a play by Clare Booth Luce.
The original film starred...Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, Joan Fontaine, Paulette Goddard, Marjorie Main, Ruth Hussey, Phyllis Povah, Hedda Hopper, and Mary Boland.
