Margo and the dad

What was the point of them showing the father leering at Margo when it had absolutely nothing to do with the script. And did David ask Margo to entice him, in an effort to distract him, as they were leaving the house without Nicole doing her housework?

It was to show that the dad was human, and vulnerable as everyone is. David sees this, hence why he smirks so demonically at Steve right after.
David is searching for ANY weaknesses in everyone around him, and he's just found one.

Steve was known for being very lenient with Nicole, add to that the fact he just saw how David noticed him leering at Margo's behind. He gets very uncomfortable, it gave David the edge he wanted.

No, David did not ask Margo to do anything. That was Margo's MO, she dearly loved to be wanted & admired. She was flirting with Steve.

showing that he likes to leer: it's part of his personality. 😱

I don't think David and Margo collaborated any plans together. I think the dad just naturally found Margo attractive. And David caught the dad looking over at her, responding with that devious and sketchy smile...which gave the dad the creeps. David just looked like he was up to no good.
