Ya, yaa, yaaah
How many time they've said that irritating "Ya" Terrible acting and dialogues. This movie could have been better.

shareNah ... it has just the right amount in it. The acting is great, the real question is why can't you appreciate that?

Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes not.
He..or she..lacks the necessary intellect to appreciate a great movie. And..esp this movie..you don't need a whole lot. Lol
shareCorrect. That ruined what seemed to be an interesting story premise. It was more like "Yaahhh", pronounced like the German word for "yes" (ja). F#@k, that irritated the living hell out of me. It was like a parody of that SNL skit Bob and Doug MacKenzie; although I know those characters were Canadian.
I watched this to see F. McDormand, because (back then) I thought she looked good and acted half decently. But I could never watch this tripe ever again. Damn.
Those 'yaa's and speech patterns made the movie.
P.S.........The McKenzie Brothers were Second City characters.
Short Cut, Draw Blood

Of course it's my opinion.

"Nothing to comedy. Annoying as all hell. "
Actually you are completely wrong. It is essential to the characters. The core of the movie is good vs evil, the honest simple folk who enjoy their community and their lives vs Jerry and the others who see the world as a contest and are always scheming to "win", dishonesty is part of their way to do that.
The "ya, yaa, yaaah" and other idioms are essential to completely define the chatacters of that region. If you can't understand that then you can't really appreciate the movie.
Yes that is my opinion but it is more correct than yours!

No, it was not essential to characters. That storyline could have happened in any region of America, not just the northern Midwest. It was overblown and distracted from what otherwise would have been an interesting story.
Those characters didn't have to say "yaahh" with over exaggeration. They could have included that accent without going over the top with it.
Yes that is my opinion but it is more correct than yours!
You clearly are NOT a very astute movie watcher, you just show your ignorance with your flawed comments about "Fargo." Maybe you should stick to cartoons?

"Ja" is the word for yes in Norwegian and Swedish as well as German.
As for repeating "Ja" when my daughters were young they were saying "Ja ja" and "Ja ja ja"
for weeks after any visit to or from my German sister in law. It is an emphasis thing.
It needed to take place in the Midwest since it's based on cases The Coen brothers heard while growing up there. It's very much a homespun crime story, and the accent is all part of that. And that makes that movie to what it is.
shareOf all things to complain about. Yah? So what!! If this irritates you that much, take a Xanax.
shareYou really don't get out much, do you?
Not everybody in the world talks exactly like you and the other people in whatever town you've spent your life in.
Get out. Travel. See the world. It's an interesting place. And everywhere you go, you'll hear people with different regional dialects, accents and speech patterns. It's OK. Really, it is. If you travel, you might even get used to it.
I have spent fair amount of time traveling. But I can understand what is irritating. Regional dialects or whatever, irritating is irritating.
And I hate your kind of over knowledgeable people who tags people, makes assumptions and use them as facts.
I hope traveling will add some modesty in you, and you'll learn to talk without making assumptions about a complete unknown person.
