Absolutely agree. This is one of his best performances ever. Along the lines of Cape Fear and Taxi Driver, but more emotional.

Absolutely, one of his best performances ever. Drama, scary, funny, convincing and some classic oneliners etc. De Niro is one of the best actors ever.

I couldnt agree with you more. I also think he was great in that movie. For me his performance in "The Fan" ,as a psychopath, is way better than in "Cape fear".

De Niro is fantastic as always, and he creates a very memorable character here. Unfortunately, I didn't find the rest of the film that great. It starts off very strong, but I think it lost a lot of traction with the kidnapping. 6/10 stars from me.

He was as good taxi driver in this one. Love him as a villain.

He definitely carried this film. Dude was off his rocker but De Niro usually is .
