I remember my gf at the time dragged me to this. she paid for the movie and dinner at Chipotle or something. So I want out anything, except for the 2+ hours of my life!

It was a good adaptation of a difficult book but I have never rushed to watch it again after I saw it in the cinemas.

No one is intellectual for liking this movie. Get over yourselves. Use your intelligence you claim to have for something that matters. There are far better movies than this overrated boring one.
