Do you think DDL would have been good as Almasi ?

I read on the trivia section that Daniel Day Lewis was strongly considered to play Almasi

Do you think he would have been as good as Ralph Fiennes ?

I adore Ralph Fiennes in this film but I have to admit that I could see Daniel Day Lewis playing this very well too and he is as attractive as Ralph Fiennes.

The only thing that would be worrying me is the Chemistry with Kristin Scott Thomas, Ralph's chemistry with her was undeniable and chemistry it's something that can't be acted or rehearsed.

I think that DDL would have been just as incredible as Fiennes was.

DDL plays bad ass characters not any sissy ass characters in movies like TEP. This is Bill the Butcher aka Abraham Lincoln aka Daniel Plainview we're talking about here, I'm glad that he didn't do this movie so that or he would've tarnished his entire career.
