Why was Laszlo dying?

What exactly was he dying from? The burns on his body had healed and organ failure from burns sets in usually within 72 hours of the event. Was he supposedly septic? I've been trying to find the answer but to no avail.

I guess he was getting weak since he almost never ate or maybe he got so burned inside that he never healed

In addition to the injuries brought on by the crash, part of me thinks he died from a broken heart. I know it sounds crazy, but it's a medical possibility.

Besides his critical external burns, I think his raspy voice is an indication that his lungs have been damaged by the fire. It's amazing that he lasted as long as he did.🐭

if he had seen this movie right after the crash, he would have died the same day he crashed !!

The title of this thread made me laugh. "What exactly was he dying from" would have been better.

Hello! He was in VERY bad airplane crash, that's why.
