can book fans help me clarify something?

hi! it's been a while since i read this book (i was very young)...and i can't seem to find my copy to clarify my question. but one thing i was never sure of is mr. knightley's housing issue. i recall that he moves to hartfield, but what becomes of his estate? does he pass it/sell it to william larkins or does he merely have larkins manage it?

thank you!!

It's still his estate, and it's still destined for his eldest son or John's eldest son (if George and Emma don't have any children). He tells Emma that he will "commute" (my word, not his) back to Donwell Abbey every day to get the work done.
