This Jane Austen writer is so famous and all - I don't understand why she felt it necessary to write this obvious rip-off of the plot of Clueless and set it in the 1800's.

Um, Clueless is meant to be a modern version of Emma, which was written well before Clueless (a movie that I also very much enjoy)... I can't really tell if you were joking, lol.
