Why does he always go on about bullying? What a strange film. I didn't find it funny or particularly disturbing, I was merely perplexed by the whole thing. If this is supposed to be a black comedy (and I like most black comedies and have no problem 'getting' the humour) then I must be missing something. The movie was simply bizarre and sometimes very boring. 3/10

i took it as a tables turning kind of experience. the proverbial nerd that gets his revenge. obviously, it's all in his mind and due to his own actions that caused everyone to treat him like crap, but he never sees it this way. it's just an excuse in his head to become so violent.
And knowing is half the battle.

Kai's just a psychopath who feels oppressed. He's been bossed around by his former boss in HK and his former bosses in South America. Really though, it's just the translation. Bully is somewhat of an accurate translation, but the problem is, it doesn't work too well in English. Maybe instead of kai saying "bully me", it should've been translated to "don't *beep* with me".

I'm not too sure why, but if you watch a lot of HK movies from martial arts through to horror, this phrase "stop bullying me" or "he/she's bullying me" comes up in almost every film, and is almost always said with a whiny tone of voice. It must just be a Chinese expression that doesn't translate very well into English.
shareI don't know if bullying happened in the normal sense here because, yeah, he was pushed around but he was a loser and not a likable guy to begin with. The film was just pushing buttons, such as someone you trust handling your food in the worst way, and with the spread of viruses in public places. It was supposed to put you on edge because there's nothing you can do about it watching it.
He seemed like more of a slacker compared to the amount of purposeful manipulation he had in Untold Story. I liked Ebola Syndrome more because it handled the humorous side better, but character wise I liked Wong a little better in Untold Story as there was more mysteriousness to him. The camera was constantly focused on Kai in Ebola Syndrome to the point of actually knowing him too well here.

The whole "bullying me" is a matter of translation.
I don't speak cantonese and much less mandarin, so I don't know what he is really saying, but I think it's more like "bossing me around", "messing with me" and such.
I have seen awful translations from english to spanish, vice-versa and japanese to english, I get lost in translation quite often when I have to express myself in english. It's not easy to think in 3 languages and understand just one in 100%!
