Doesn't ever get the credit
Yeah Dragongheart had its fair share of cheesy moments and some very average acting (namely Dina Meyer and David Thewlis) but it really is a great film. A family feelgood fairytale with some truly brilliant special effects and a heart of gold.
Why does it never get the credit it deserves - seems to happen a lot with Dennis Quaid films. It was the same with Frequency. Brilliant, heartwarming, and a very intelligent thriller - just seems to get forgotten by most people 10 minutes after it's been released.
