I can't believe it
Dragonheart has been an all time favourite for me since its release in 1996. Unlike other movies, I never get sick of it, and have watched it perhaps 3 times a year for the past ten years.
To me, the characters are interesting, the mythology fascinating , and the acting (in most cases) fantastic. The relationship between Bowen and Draco seems so deep that you begin to forget Draco isn't real, and none of that could have been possible without the talents of Denis Quaid and Sean Connery. I could go on forever, but rather than bore you all with my praise, perhaps I should get to the point of this thread!
After all this, I received a hugely unpleasant surprise when I came here to Dragonheart's page on imdb to see a rating of 6.1.
6.1?
How can that be? I mean, I admit I wasn't expecting a score of 10 or even a score within the 9's, but 6.1?
This is honestly the first time I've ever been at a complete loss to understand how a films quality and score could be so far out.
Well, to show my support, I felt the urge to come here on the forums myself and make known my love of what I consider to be such a great and enchanting film.
9 stars.
