oh my GOD... David Thewlis gets the award for the single most horrible, non-interesting, annoying, pathetic, laughable and almost puke inducing badguy ever. I can't think of a worse badguy to watch in the history of film... anyone??
I first saw this when I was fourteen and Einon freaked me out immensely! I had trouble going to sleep that night. His wig might have been horrendous, but I found him to be very effective. Maybe it was those intense eyes...that stare could knock you over!
You don't have to agree with me, but please don't state your opinion as fact, ok?

^Me too on the Dennis Quaid front. Have never been a fan, but I enjoyed him in this.
As for David Thewlis...the man is one of the best actors working today. Einon was the first role I ever saw him in, when I was a kid, and it left an impression that lasted years. He was an excellent badguy, and actually managed to be multi-dimensional despite the fact that he was pure evil. Many actors would have turned in a one-note (and truly useless) performance. Einon was cruel and self-serving, and there was an element of him that was extremely childish, he was like a spoiled little boy trying to be a big man (look at the little tantrum he has when his mother tells him not to fear the dragon...) Einon was a properly repulsive person (and I think that was two-thirds characterisation, one-third hair style), so I must emphatically disagree with the OP's point of view. Great badguy.
"HEY BOBBY, YOU WANT NUTS WITH THAT?! YOU WANT NUTS?!"
I also found him to be a great bad guy. He was absolutely despicable and a spoiled childish brat, but you were supposed to hate for that. I think he did a good job in making the OP hate him, but perhaps he did it a little too well.
I don't know, I thought he was pretty awome myself. But I also think The Ferengi were the bess Star Trek villains, so I dunno whatthatmeanstoyou dsaofihps]iFHps]i
