Charles Edward Pogue Audio Interview

In April 2001, Charles Pogue did an audio interview with Hour 25 Online and talked about some of the films that he wrote the screenplays for, including DragonHeart, a part of the interview that's roughly 27 and a half minutes long.

He goes into great detail about how it got started with Patrick Read Johnson, elements of the screenplay that were changed or cut from the film, and what happened behind the scenes that caused the story to go downhill in a sense. Towards the end, Pogue talks at length about the swamp village scene, how it was supposed to play a huge part in Bowen's character development, and how that part of Bowen's arc is nonexistent in the film because of Rob Cohen demanding the pigs to be added to the scene just to make it funny.

Here's the link for the second part of the interview. The part about DragonHeart starts roughly 15 minutes in: http://www.hour25online.com/hr25_2001-04-30_chuck-pogue_interview.m3u

Note: The interview is a multi-part playlist, so for those who want to get to the DragonHeart section quickly, it's 5min 50sec into the one marked "pt2."
