Reminiscent of 'Operation Petticoat'? Topper?

Loved this movie and love portrayal every single actor/actress gave in the film. Very remiscent of "Operation Petticoat", an equally brilliant 1959 film with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis. Wonder if they used the same submarine in both films? Movie was a real 'sleeper' and underrated.

Kelsey Grammar's portrayal of the Commander was a welcome change from his better known stuffy "Frasier" personna. Loved the wit and figurative wink. Made me think that he could portray a perfect "Topper" should another ramake ever be put together. Mr. Grammar could pull off the stuffiness of the Topper character and yet inject sly wit that would make Cosmo Topper fun.
