Deleted Scenes

There were a number of scenes in both the trailer and the music video which were not in the film. Does anyone know if those scenes are anywhere out there. i.e. youtube or some similar site?

Seems to be several things that were removed that have left the viewers hanging: 1) Howard's backstory, 2) how Lt. Lake secures private quarters, 3) who was the last captain, why is his picture still up, and why Dodge says "Live to fight another day."

Since Fox Entertainment probably isn't interested in what we what (look how long it took them to release the DVD), it's unlikely we'll ever get to see any deleted scenes.

What a shame. Lots of fans would be willing to buy a new copy just get additional material.

1) Howard's backstory,

There was not a lot of backstory to ANY of the characters other than Dodge himself. Why focus on Howard?

2) how Lt. Lake secures private quarters,

They simply gave her a bunk (actually a hammock) in the Aft Torpedo Room. Since they only had one torpedo and that was forward, the Aft TR could be kept private being that she was the only female aboard. It is clear that she was in the torpedo room in several shots. there was no "need" for the film to go into detail about how she "secured private quarters"

3) who was the last captain, why is his picture still up, and why Dodge says "Live to fight another day."

The phot looks like a WW2 era phot or posibbly postwar era. But there does not seem to be anything "missing" from the film concerning it, just curiosity on the part of Military buff's as to who the actual captain in the photo was.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!
