I'd like to watch again the same hilarious characters sooo badly :(

No this movie is great. How many movies have been great and had absolutely stupid moronic sequels? I can think of at least 2 which are the Jurassic Park franchise and the Ghostbusters franchise. The only ones that had great sequels would be James Bond, "Francis the Talking Mule," and the "Ma and Pa Kettle." series. If you do not know the last 2 then I feel sorry for you. The "Road" movies with Hope and Crosby were good also. Sequels and re-makes should be banned. Actually the MIB series were not bad either. Star Trek has been up and down and up and down.

The sequel should be where the crew take that Los Angles attack sub out onto the coast. While on shakedown cruise, they rescue Admiral Graham who is on a sinking ship...

In Russia a sequel exist! :)))))
In 1997 we can see it and it called in translation "Down Periscope-2" (on VHS) but lately I recognize that this is a dumb "McHales Navy" movie. Just look at that cover - http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3949305600/tt0119640
