Just met the director and got DVD signed!

I'm a film student at Chapman University down in Orange, California. My school had a showing of The Sting (on film!) and David Ward came (he wrote it). In addition, Michael Phillips and Tony Bill (two of the producers) came and showed off their oscar statues. David was a cool guy that was very straightforward and informative. Apparently he teaches at my school, but I've never had an actual class with him. He was surprised to see Down Periscope and happy that someone knew about the movie. When I was 10, my Cub Scout troop actually went on a field trip to San Francisco bay, where the submarine they used in the movie is docked. That's how I found out about the movie. It was a good night!
