Convicts and Criminals

Did anybody else find the depictions of the criminals who stole the jewels and caused the disaster at the beginning, as well as the convicts in the prison van, to be totally off the wall?

I mean, the convicts emerged as simply 'misunderstood'. Why even have them as convicts to display a lot of attitude? They could have just been preparatory students or something on a private bus. Same results.

And the crooks who stole the jewels?

First the guy transporting the jewels. You could look around and see three cartoon characters like that coming at you before you get in your car? He should have seen them coming near him before he got in the car.

And that's jewel-thief attire? Spiked, colored hair and tattoos? Yea, that's inconspicuous. What do you need the jewels for? To get more hair color and gel for your hair?

And you want to get away, drive thru a tunnel and hit every car you can? Those jewels under the pedals, they couldn't have waited?

Well, these are stupid criminals, yes, but stupid antics of crooks usually works to their favor.

If anything, grab the briefcase and take off on foot into the crowded streets.

That was just about some of the strangest depictions of crooks and/or criminals I've ever seen.

I agree, it was a way over the top characterization of criminals.

Another thing: Since when are male and female prisoners transported on the same bus? I'm pretty sure convicts are separated by gender...

Light travels faster than sound,
that's why people seem bright,
until you hear them.

Also why are they being transported to another state? Corrections dept doesn't have jurisdiction to do that you need a warrant officer to pick up someone from another state.
