Oscar-material compared to Wicked Prayer

I can't believe people trash this movie as much as they do. Of course it's not as good as the first one, but it's still a very solid follow-up. The soundtrack is just as good, maybe even better than the first movie, the acting was decent, and it stayed true to the feel of the first movie, while still trying to do it's own thing. And the cinematography, the whole look of the movie, is fantastic as well. It's very atmospheric.

On the other hand, I watched the first 30 minutes of Wicked Prayer and I wanted to VOMIT. It's nothing like a Crow movie. I mean it doesn't even look like a Crow movie, more like a random Dusk Till Dawn sequel. It's a true slap in the face to the first movie and its fans. Wicked Prayer is so unbelievably bad, it has to be one of the worst sequels I've ever seen, and I'm talking worse than Caddyshack 2. Both CoA and Salvation are solid sequels and stay true to the look and feel of the first one, but Wicked Prayer is a travesty.

I mean, the box art alone explains it:
