Remake Casting Ideas??!

Well I have always loved this movie and I am excited for a remake. I'm hoping they channel the same kind of emotional energy from the previous film with whomever they choose for the new version.I think I've seen a few actresses in other gothic flicks who may do a great Job here. My choices are along these lines for the leading ladies:

Nancy: Georgie Henley http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1583138816/nm1670137?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt
or Phoebe Tonkin http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1799594496/nm2100081?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt

Bonnie: I would love to see Ashley Greene http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1188937216/nm2230865?ref_=nmmd_md_pv
or Anna Kendrick http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2003957504/nm0447695?ref_=nmmd_md_pv

Rochelle: Zoe Kravitzhttp://www.imdb.com/media/rm2015032064/nm2368789?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt
or Kat Graham http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1565180672/nm0334159?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt

Sarah: Chloe grace Moretz http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3525885952/nm1631269?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt
or Sophie Turner http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1358282752/nm3849842?ref_=nmmd_md_nxt

What do you think of these girls, and who are your choices?

reply

Sarah - Saoirse Ronan
Nancy - Chloe Moretz or Elizabeth Gillies
Bonnie - Zoey Deutch
Rochelle - Kiersy Clemmens

And
Chris - Ansel Elgort
Laura - Sasha Pieterse

I chose cast which are more age appropriate and aren't 30 year olds playing high school

That's not how theater or film works. Perception is reality. If an actor looks like a teenager then they are a teenager as far as the viewers are concerned.

reply

Of course, but these days it's all about franchise material.

If an actor is slightly younger, then you can have a long period of movies

reply

Nancy-Scout Taylor Compton

Sarah-Britt Robertson

Rochelle-Keke Palmer

Bonnie-Elle Fanning

reply

And I want to add Keke Palmer is too low class and ghetto. Ugh, Rachel was pure perfection

Another reason to say no to a remake!!!

reply

Maybe Kristen Stewart as one of the girls....and Taylor Swift as Laura

reply

I really hope that was meant to be a joke

reply

Sarah: Sophie Turner, Taissa Farmiga, Danielle Panabaker or Saoirse Ronan.

Nancy: Emma Roberts.

Bonnie: Rita Volk

Rochelle: Zoe Kravitz

Why in the hell would they remake this? First, it wasn't that big when it came out. Second, they got it right the first time.

I don't even want to imagine the current crop of cell phone-addicted, safe-space-whining narcissist teens being turned into even more craven narcissists...

The movie was definitely a success man, it had a small budget and made its money back almost 5 times over and has a huge cult following.

Totally agree. Kids these days and studios just need to enjoy film and stop butchering it with their unnecessary remakes.

I'm not much on rear-window ethics.

reply

Then its a good thing the new film is a semi-sequel (Same 'universe', no linking characters), and not a remake.

reply

Make them all trans girls like Jizz Jennings. That will satisfy all the libs out there.

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.

reply

No one could top Fayruza Balk's performance and the girls's chemistry in general.

reply

Mary Elizabeth winstead as Bonnie
Kristen Stewart as Sarah
Margot Robbie as Nancy

reply

No remake please! The movie is awesome!!!

Maybe a sequel, since all the ladies survive and Sarah is the only one with powers... hmmmmm
