Is this the same as the 1991 version or what they sound the same and have the same plot so are they the same and just remade or what????????????????????????????????????

Not at all the same. The 1991 movie is extremely weak, whereas this one is quite good. Avoid the 1991 movie at all costs and see this one as soon as you are able.
