the cable guy's 15th anniversary is coming up soon.

"the cable guy" is still an underrated gem, and it's coming up on its 15th anniversary soon. i think it'd be awesome if the movie could possibly receive a "special edition" DVD/Blu-Ray release sooner or later. ben, jack black, leslie mann, and jim carrey's careers have skyrocketed since this film was made and this film has definitely found a cult audience over the years. plus, i believe judd apatow was the producer and a co-writer of the film and he's found success in the past few years as well.

i actually managed to find a widescreen DVD a few years ago (with a pan and scan transfer on the flip side), but since 2005 or so..sony has only been churning out a lame pan and scan, barebones DVD release for this film, which is a travesty!

anything that represents "the cable guy" that isn't a lame barebones release would definitely be awesome; i'd love to check out whatever supplemental features that are and could be available for this movie, especially a commentary with director ben stiller!
