Grimethorpe Band is a real band (which the film is based on) and compete with such legends as:
Faireys, Fodens, Brighouse and Brastrick, Black Dyke and Yorkshire Building Society which are all mentioned in the film...Mainly in the Whit Friday Marches Montage. I love brassed off!
