Just wondering in that movie, what kind of police car that Chris borrowed?

It is a 1980-something Chevrolet Caprice.

late 80's caprice

the fact that it had a 426 Hemi (dodge engine) kinda threw me off,
its possible, but not likely

no, its not a GNX, its most definitely a caprice...GNX's are 2-door, the caprice in the movie is a 4-door

87-90 9c1(police pkg caprice classic)

gnx and monte carlo is much smaller and 2 dr only

as for the 426 hemi comment i think it was just him rambeling

his car that tore up was an old grnd prix not sure on year

Great sounding squad car. They really did some nice mods to that thing. Look at the size of the radials on the back.
