the basic context of thius movie actually happened in real life in WA

The basis of this movie was Tim Matheson's character losing the gubernatorial election in Washington State to a candidate who used dead people's names to siphon votes and win. In the 2004 Washington State gubernatorial election, there was a claim that Christine Gregoire the democrat party's candidate was accused of winning the election only because she garnered illegal votes from dead people. The recounts that occurred did not retract the initial victory.

How stupid was your post? The basis of this movie was based on Christine Gregoire's winning the 2004 Washington gubernatorial election? Well that would make Black Sheep the most amazing movie ever produced via a time machine since it was made in 1996! Go back in your teabagging hole, moron.

The tea party is not a movement as much as it is bunch of lips moving without any brain activity.....and a lot of misspelled protest signs.

I always assumed this movie was based on either Bill and Roger Clinton or Jimmy and Billy Carter. Gary Busey played Billy Carter on SNL once back in the early years and it was hilarious.

I think you misinterpreted the post due to poor word choice by OP. I believe OP meant that the basic premise of the movie is Matheson's character initially losing to Ebersole's character because the latter used dead people's votes. They then go on to say that a real-life politician in the same state tried the same stunt in 2004.

OP's not saying it's based on the events, they just misused the word "basis" where "basic premise/plot" would have been more accurate. No need to get so defensive and insult their alleged political leanings.
