Man, there are so many good quotes in this movie. Robin Williams was just amazing. It also has Gene Hackman and Nathan Lane. If you have not seen this then you owe it to yourself.
I agree with you. This is one terrific movie that surpasses the iconic original it was made from. I saw La Cage Aux Folles, and while I enjoyed it, this film improves on it in every way. There couldn't have been a better cast. Williams and Lane have the perfect chemistry as life-partners Armand & Albert/"Starina." Dan Futterman is as lovable as he can be. Diane Weist shines in anything she does. Christine Baranski is her usual larger-than-life self, and I love her for that. And Gene Hackman SPARKLES as the ultra conservative Senator ending up in full drag. Calista Flockhart, Hank Azaria, there's not a bad apple in the whole bunch. I could watch this a thousand times and it still never gets old.
