i just love this movie - Bed of Roses (1996) Discussion

I second that! I love Christian Slater; he and Mary Stuart Masterson are perfect together. I found this movie by accident in one of those movie combo packs they sell at Target. I bought a 4 movie Romantic Comedy collection and this happened to be in it. I hadn't ever heard of it or seen it, but now it's one of my favorite romantic comedies. The nineties were perfect for romantic comedies - all my favorites were made then: While You Were Sleeping, Only You, and now Bed of Roses!

Here... Here...

Its a very good movie, I watched it mostly because of "Mary Stuart Masterson" I just love her acting, and have almost all of her movies (it ain't all of her movies that are being sold in Denmark, so there is it only almost all of...), and some of the best in my opinion are "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Benny & Joon", "Immediate Family", "Bad Girls", "Bed of Roses", and I can go on, but what a variety of characters she have played in her career so far.....

check out "untamed heart". it's slater's better love movie.

You, me and about a few others who feel the same, I love this movie so much that I hate how this film isn't well know except you, me and few others. Thank God for you and others who share the same appreciation for this simple, romantic movie.

I also loved this movie.Watched it yesterday.I haven't seen much of Christian Slater and Mary Stuart Masterson movies.So suddenly I feel I need to watch more movies of them.:)

I loved Christian's performances on this but I bet alot of money that he didn't like the role.

red, why do you think that he didn't like the role? He played it so well; his character could have come off as creepy (he didn't seem creepy to me). I'd think if he didn't like it, he wouldn't have done such a great job.
I thought he and MSM had great chemistry together.

Just my thought, he is the kind of guy that loves to play deeper and more challenging. I bet he enjoyed playing Lewis and loved his times with Mary. The film isn't all that mentioned.

LOVE Untamed Heart! It's so sad, though, at the end. I cry like a little girl. LOL

Love this movie too, for all these years, the Louis guy is kinda creepy, the story doesn't make much sense, however the movie simply always works for me.
