The X5 Unit...

Talk about a totally different approach on Beavis and Butthead, wasn't it?

I just rewatched this movie again, and as I got older, amazingly, I still laugh at it, but the one thing that freaked me out about the movie was the devistating effects of the X5 unit (When they show what is does to all those soldiers) I just shuddered when I saw that. Was anyone a bit weirded out by that scene, or the very brief dark overtone of the plot, compared to the show where its usually awkward, though genius humor, the plot went into something Tom Clancy might have came up with?

Just commenting on that one part, it kind of freaked me out. Am I thinking too seriously on the subject, or did anyone get the same vibe as I did? I thought the hallucination scene was dead on, but the political stuff and the mentioning of the X5's side effects just made me sit on the edge of my seat (I've seen it many times before, but this time just had me on edge, particularly in that something serious could have happened (and it didnt't, to comedic effect.)
