Did this movie scare you as a kid?

No it didn't scare me but it has always been a classic IMO werewolf movie. Plus I always saw it more as a tragedy then a straight out horror flick. Esp since it came down to Janet having to kill her brother over watching him kill her son. And Ted's werewolf is scary as hell. Probably one of the scariest ever put to film; not exactly the one you want chasing you through the woods.

First time I saw this was when I was 12, and it was after midnight (on TV). The intro gave me a start, but the rest of the movie made me laugh, although the dream sequence was a good for a cheap jump.

Man wouldn't do that.
This isn't a man.

Saw it when I was in early teens. Was never scared, but dang this movie made me fall in love with werewolf mythos. The werewolf looked so amazing that it compelled me to start research on werewolf lore and I began looking up more movies with those hairy creatures. Before this movie, I wasn't much aware of werewolves, well I had seen few movies with them but only while flipping channels and mostly last halves of those movies, but I was never actually aware of what those creatures were.

So I guess I owe this movie a thanks for introducing me to them properly.

Never saw the film as a kid, but I recall seeing the poster in theatres and being pretty freaked.
(Heck, it looks scarier than the actual wolf suit in the film!)
