Thor's Hammer

I saw some of this film years ago. All I remember is the denouement where the werewolf attacks the home of the mother and her son and it ends with a limping Thor finding the werewolf in human form and mauling him to death despite his pleas for 'mercy'. Now there's a scene at the very end where we see Thor and he suddenly transforms into a wolf/dog hybrid. Is that scene a 'dream sequence'? As for the final battle I do remember the dog Thor putting up a valiant fight. I'd like to know how much damage does Thor inflict on the werewolf?

In addition, how does the film compare to the novel "Thor"? Are there key differences in terms of plot and characterisation?

If impersonating a Police Officer is an offence, shouldn't actors be imprisoned?
