Cruella's Car
Does any body know what kind of car Cruella drives? It looks like some 1920s-30s Bugatti or something.

it is a panther becuase in the trivia section of this movie it says so
shareThe car in The Addams Family was a Packard. The script originally called for a Dusenberg.
The car in Dalmations is a Panther De Ville--not an authentic vintage automobile, but one of those tacky retro-styled cars nouveau riche individuals might be attracted to. They were manufactured from the 70's to the 80's. The Panther De Ville wass a stylistic pastiche, modeled very much after a classic Bugatti, but maybe recalling Rolls Royce as well.
I would have thought it better had they used an authentic classic for Cruella--perhaps an actual Bugatti or an Isotta Fraschini. But perhaps it was a deliberate decision that Cruella should drive a really tasteless car. Or more likely, they just couldn't resist the joke of having Mz. De Vil drive the De Ville.
I love the car she has in this film, but the red one is so much nicer. I bet the DeVille can't go up mountains!
shareI've always love her car it's fantastic. I saw it years ago when i was on the Disney studios tour and they had the 101 dalmatians set out, but when i went back a few years later it was gone :(. Does anyone know where the actual car used in the film is now?
