Did Jeff Daniel's character propose to the girl he just met in the park with "would you like another cup of marriage?" Holy crap its been so long since I saw that scene but I was like this is the part where the girl says no thanks and mutters "psycho" under her breath as she walks out the apartment in a fast stride.

Maybe 'would you like a couple of going out to dinner?' would be better... Or at least less weird :P
That seemed really inappropriate to me as well. She should have said yes to the tea and bolted to the door when he was in the kitchen. Of course, they wanted to speed the human component of this film along so they could get to the dogs making puppies, and I guess they couldn't do it out of the owners' wedlock.
shareI think it was supposed to be taken in light of it being a Disney movie. Disney's infamous for having their characters meet and decide to get married over a ridiculously short amount of time. So like I said, I don't think we're supposed to take it seriously.
Plus, it is easier than writing around having them date, especially when the movie is mostly about Cruella and the dogs, I can see how they thought it might work to just play it silly like that.
