Any moments that made you cringe during any of the 'Titanic' movies?

I was just wondering what scenes in the movies made you cringe a little bit, not the scenes or moments you thought were the worst, but what scenes made you feel uneasy, or that you thought were lame?

Titanic (1997): Honestly, nothing really made me cringe in Cameron's film. None I can think of at the moment. At times, I thought some of the dialogue sounded "too modern."

A Night to Remember: I remember watching this as a 14 yr old, and I remember seeing all the bellhop boys smoking when the ship is sinking, and they're all like 13!!! I thought that was really taboo and unsettling, even though back then, people didn't think smoking was as bad as people now, but it was really cringeworthy when one of the boys asks a well-to-do man "hey what are we supposed to do?" and all the man says to them "is put out those lights! u kno better!!" You knew they were in trouble, and thing is, they all died in real life.

Titanic (1953): I just remember a part where a boy wanted his dad to play w/ him or something, but the dad continues to deal cards on the ship w/ some lady and the captain. It was just unsettling because here was this father scolding his son, not knowing they would never see each other again. I believe they both perished. And what was up with all the people singing at the end??!? WEIRD!

Titanic (1996): A lot of people thought the rape scene was unsettling. I thought it was soo lame. It looked really cheesy and unlikely. Not to mention, some of the acting was pretty lame all together. Oxygen channel replays this just because the dad from the OC was in it. Haha..

SOS Titanic (1979): I don't really remember this movie too well, I think it was a little too long. There was one scene where a steerage passenger tries to go up to 2nd class, and an officer yells at them for going up the decks. I dunno it was just lame, like just the movie was trying to show a differene in class to further seperate the people. Just too predictable.

I can't think of many moments that really made me cringe.

In the 1996 Miniseries Titanic, I thought that Tim Curry's character, in general, was completely out of place. The rape scene was ridiculous. I mean, why add it in if there is no proof of such an incident occuring? It's a horrible addition to an already tragic story. I suppose the acting also made me cringe a bit as well =)

I haven't seen SOS Titanic, and I can't think of any other instances that made me cringe from/in the other Titanic themed films.

And just a side note on Titanic (1953) and the scene that you referred to: *Spoiler* The father acted that way toward his "son" because he had recently learned that he was not actually the boy's father. With the information, he decided to continue to support the boy, but to physically remove his presence from the boy's life.

RE: A Night To Remember - The person who yells at the bellhop is actually a Officer and member of the crew.

It was not a 'well to do man'...

It was? Oh, my mistake. I haven't seen it in a while.
