Come on BBC get the finger out...possibly the most memorable and best drama they've ever comissioned and they cant even be arsed putting it out to buy properly. The 2nd series isn't even out yet and the only place I can find the 1st series is on Amazon, going for 120 quid SECOND HAND!

I agree, about 12 months after they had released the forst series on DVD, I emailed the BBC to enquire when the second series would be released and they originally replied, saying it would be in a couple of months, but it never happened. I email them again and they replied saying due to low demand they would not be releasing it in the near future!
Low demand - I know lots of people who would buy it. I also know people who were put off by buying the first series until the second series was available on DVD. You see some reallty rubbish shows being released, when This Life was probably one of the most influential shows of it's time.
That's the BBC for you!
apparently it's a music issue... all the music that's played in the background adds up to a huge royalties bill, which doesn't make it viable to sell...
but I've heard it's on the release scedule, but who knows...
I actually haven't seen 'This Life', but have read all the episode summaries and cast information - this show looks remarkably good! I want to buy the DVDs!!
